Description
The Town of Murphy's annual Christmas Tree Lighting in downtown Murphy will be Friday, December 6, at 6:00 p.m. An encore First Friday Art Walk is being planned for that evening as well, sponsored by the Valley River Arts Guild. Come out and enjoy the opening of the Christmas season in historic downtown Murphy.
The Town of Murphy's annual hometown Christmas Celebration Parade will enter downtown Murphy on Saturday, December 7, at 2:00 p.m. Area businesses and organizations are encouraged to enter a float this year, and registration is free. Trophies will be awarded for Best of Parade, as well as awards for the True Spirit of Christmas and the Joys of Christmas. Parade entry registrations are due in by Monday, December 2. It's a great way to connect the community with your business. Make this year's parade the best ever, and join in the festivities!
