The Rotary Club of Murphy presents the
2nd Annual Franklin Barnett Memorial Poker Run!
Have fun riding around beautiful western North Carolina during leaf looking season while knowing you are doing something good for your community. Whether you are on two or four wheels it will be a beautiful ride.

Have fun riding around beautiful western North Carolina during leaf looking season while knowing you are doing something good for your community. Whether you are on two or four wheels it will be a beautiful ride.
Rotary Club of Murphy is hosting a Fundraising Poker Run on Saturday, October 23rd. Registration is from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the WKRK studios at 90 Tennessee Street in downtown Murphy. The event will begin and end at the WKRK studios.
Cost is $25 per scorecard. Play up to 5 hands per person. "Free Draw" poker chips may also be purchased on site during registration. PRIZES! 1st Place - $500 2nd Place - $250 Worst Hand $100
Bring your favorite mode of transportation for this 130 mile journey. There will be five checkpoints where you draw a card. The object is to have the best poker hand at the end of the run ... or maybe even the worst hand! Cash prizes will be awarded.
This event is not a race. Travel at your own pace and enjoy your day. Safety is a priority.

This fundraiser allows Rotary Club to provide scholarships to local seniors, to support other great organizations such as Reach of Cherokee County, H.A.V.E.N. Children's Advocacy Center, Shop with a Cop, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cherokee County, and many more.
Bring an unwrapped toy for Big Brothers Big Sisters for a "Free Draw" chip.
Social distancing will be observed. Hand sanitizer will be available at each checkpoint. Industrial Opportunities Inc. in Andrews has been kind enough to provide free face masks for all participants.
