Golf Classic 2018

Description

The Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce is holding its ninth annual golf tournament at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 9th, at The Ridges in Hayesville.  The golf tournament began in 2009, started by former Chamber Board President, the late Marvin Raper. Current Chamber Board President, Brian Smith states, “the golf tournament continues to be my favorite Chamber fundraising event”.  

The tournament will be a four player, best-ball format.  Cash prizes will be $600 for the first place team, $450 for second place and $300 for third place.  There will be additional prizes for various individual challenges.

New this year is the added fun of Fantasy Golf!  Each player will receive their fantasy golf card scratcher and the lowest score wins $50!  Unlike the traditional golf game, you are encouraged to change your overall score, by purchasing additional scratchers!

This is the first Chamber fundraising event of the calendar year and success depends on business support, by sponsoring the event and/or entering a team.  Success also depends on individual support, by recruiting fellow golfers to come out and join in the fun!

The deadline for teams to pre-register is Friday, May 4th.  Get your sponsorship and/or team registration form by calling the Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce at 837-2242.
