Basketry Workshop
Description
Ages 15+
All levels are welcome. No experience required, just some hand strength. Spend a weekend weaving with willow and learn to create a traditional rib-style hearth and gathering basket. This "work horse" of a basket is so light to carry but still sturdy enough to hold firewood! Students will use several varieties of locally and sustainably sourced and harvested willow. Discussions will also include how to frow and harvest your own willow.
